WHAT IS THAI MASSAGE?
Thai Massage is an ancient form of bodywork performed fully clothed on a mat. Sometimes referred to as the “lazy man’s yoga”, Thai massage is a dynamic massage that stretches and soothes major muscle groups such as hamstrings/hips/glutes/shoulders, opens energetic channels (Sen lines) along the body, and focuses on deep tissue release and fascial manipulation. In Thai Massage, the practitioner uses their own body and weight to leverage the movement of your muscles. It involves using hands, feet, and sometimes elbows and knees to apply pressure and perform assisted yoga-like stretches.

ABOUT CARLA
Carla Neilsen is a Thai Massage Practitioner and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with a focus in Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Her work is rooted in a whole-body approach to healing—one that supports nervous system regulation, physical alignment, and deep inner stillness.
Drawing from years of experience in somatic movement and mindful practice, Carla offers sessions that are intuitive, grounded, and deeply restorative. Carla’s background in yoga and her love of the natural world inspire a calming presence that invites each client into a state of ease. Her intention is to create a healing space where movement meets stillness, and where body, breath, and spirit reconnect.
